Listening to some of the indigenous sounds my momma cherishes so much, I have come to appreciate the African 🎶 sounds... Which in fact motivated me greatly to put this piece you are about to read up.
Do let me know what you think of it.

speak to me
of the vocables of the griot
who lauds of Ukwani
of period immemorial       1

he speaks of
those composed monarchs
on the donkeys of silence
and the beauty of the old ones
with folded smiles      2

lost time returns
from the inner chamber
of my memory
as a totem snake
strutted around my bossom   3

my loneliness
and my shattered up looks
what shall I give
you my children
if I lost your souls.     4

This is written just to appreciate my land of birth and for us to give rise to African cultures in large. See you on the next one
